College of Hotel and Restaurant Management

HRM

In response to society's growing needs, the University of Baguio has expanded the scope of education it provides by opening Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management (BSHRM) program in June 1980,  Associate of Arts in Hotel and Restaurant Management (AAHRM) in 1992, and Bachelor of Science in Tourism (BST) in 1993.  In 1994, the burgeoning number of students pursuing these hospitality related courses led to the creation of another College: the College of HRM. Four years later, a 1-year courses, Associate in Hotel and Restaurant Management (AHRM) became the fourth program of the College.

In 1999, the College successfully met the requirements of PACU-COA for Level I Accreditation.  Another milestone was attained in 2001 when the College was granted the status of Level II Accreditation by PACU-COA.  Cognizant that career opportunities offered by the different courses are basically skill-based, the College of HRM team have geared the College curricular/co-curricular/extra-curricular activities to the honing of skills needed by the Hospitality Industry.  The College now boasts of a lot of achievements and it is now a benchmark of hospitality education
