LawThe College of Law recognizes the ever-increasing demand for the legal profession.  The practice of law is a profession where trust is anchored, and the performance of which, is entrusted to those who possess good moral character.  As such, it aims to provide the community with morally and socially responsible lawyers who are aware of their duties and responsibilities in the society, who are willing and able to uphold justice at all cost.  In the exercise of the profession, the respect of the people is the primordial concern that must be followed in rendering public service and in securing justice in the honor and integrity of the legal profession.

The Bachelor of Laws was issued Temporary Permit No. 34 s. 2002 by CHED-CAR Director Joseph D. delos Santos, Ph. D. The bachelor of Laws course is treated as a separate college – the UB College of Law. The aim of the College is to mold students as future law practitioners who will practice their profession where trust is anchored, and the performance of which is entrusted to those who possess good moral character. As such, it aims to provide the community with morally and socially responsible lawyers who are aware of their duties and responsibilities in the society, who are willing and able to uphold justice at all cost.

 

During the First Semester SY 2002-2003, the College has an enrolment of 72 students. This increased to 176 during the Second Semester SY 2002-2004, the College has an enrolment of 284 students are being trained not only in purely academic pursuit but also in sports and social activities of the University. It is the goal of the faculty to develop the students not only as efficient law practitioners but also the total development of persons who are ready to face the challenges of the world.
