Part of his visit was a dialogue with the graduating dentistry students for purposes of recruitment in AFP’s Dental Service. During his talk, he said that, aside from it being a greener pasture, being part of the AFP Dental Service “is a pride for you are serving the country and caring for the soldiers and their families.”
“The rewards are as diverse as they are substantial,” he said.
The students expressed their delight on the visit, noting they were thankful to Gen. Torres and his team for presenting them with opportunities after graduation. They were moved by Gen. Torres’s invitation as he ended his dialogue with the words, “See you in AFP Dental Service!”
The UB School of Dentistry, headed by Dr. Demetrio G. Daet, presented the team a token of appreciation as well as a certificate of appreciation.
Aside from his scheduled inspection in all dental operating units within Northern Luzon, Gen. Torres included in his itinerary visit to dental schools and colleges in Baguio City. – Vengie Bangloy
