The University of Baguio (UB) in partnership with the non-profit environmental organization Cordillera Conservation Trust conducted an outreach on basic hospitality and homestay training in Dalupirip and Tinongdan in Itogon last Oct. 1.
The activity included lectures on tourism activities and recreation as well as food, beverage and accommodation costing by UB faculty members.
Demonstrations on basic bed making and three-meal course were also held.
The group prepared dried bunog omelette, cornbeef hashbrown, fried tilapia marinated in citrus fish sauce, glazed pinikpikan in bugnay wine, pinikpikan soup, and local red glutinous rice with pastillas and coconut sauce and distributed to the participants, which totaled to over 50. – Maria Monica Gonzales and Phil Harvey Guillermo
