The University of Baguio (UB), through the School of Criminal Justice and Public Safety Praeclarus Society, conducted an outreach on Nov. 19, 2016 for the children under the safekeeping of Consuelo Foundation, an exclusive shelter for females based in Baguio City.
With the theme “Spreading Love and Joy for Survivors,” the group gave gifts to the children as well as facilitated games.
According to Dr. Charesma Grace Killip-Lud-ayen, program chair of the Criminology program of UB, by reaching out to the survivors who have suffered trauma at an early age, it is hoped that the activity created the feeling that "there are people who care, thereby making them regain self-esteem and cultivate hope in life."
The outreach was carried out in coordination with students of the UB Graduate School Master of Science in Criminology program facilitated by Dr. Lud-ayen. – Marish Leen Pagulayan and Quantum Khan Ekid
