The University of Baguio Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (UB-JPIA) won major awards in this year’s Regional Midyear Convention held at the Hotel Supreme, Baguio City last Sept. 24-26.
Franklin Jan Wayang secured the third place in Management Advisory Services and finished as one of the finalists in Financial Accounting and Reporting and in Advanced Financial Accounting and Reporting. Meanwhile Hanna Angway finished fourth in Advanced Financial Accounting; she was a finalist in the JPIA Cup which covered all board subjects.
In addition, Rochelle Abuan landed fifth in Auditing Theory and Problems and was a finalist in Management Advisory Services. Wynnett Poblete finished as one of the top 10 finalists in Auditing Theory and Problems, Business Law and Taxation, and in Meet the Standards quiz bee. Moreover, Leanne Basilio was a finalist in Business Law and Taxation. Furthermore, Mark Joven Aquino received a special award in Cyber Accounting Genius.
On the other hand, Angela Cauilan landed second in the extemporaneous and declamation competition. Likewise, Nhea Paula Coplaten won as Ms. Congeniality and bagged the Epitome of Benevolence award in the Search for Ms. Ambassador of Goodwill. – Mark Joven Aquino and Rachel Lomibao
