Currently addicted to: HAIM

Binge-watches: Key & Peele

Listens to a lot of: Indie music, alternative rock music

Comfort track: “Greek Tragedy” by The Wombats

Style principle: If it makes you confident, wear it.

Style history:  When I was around 16, I became interested in indie and alternative rock music. And then when I looked at how the artists dressed, I was inspired because the way they dress fits the music they make and I love the vibe and the feels they give.

Caught the fashion bug at age: 16

Favorite style item: Grunge shoes

Style icon: Luanna

Most memorable style moment: Self-discovery. It’s when I came to know what I really want, when I discovered my preferences in terms of clothing.

 STYLE TIP FOR THE WEEK

Through the years, the denim jacket has become a staple in almost everyone’s wardrobe. It is one style item we can constantly count on. It can be worn to combat the cold, chilly season and it can be worn loose as a comfortable summer statement item.

This week’s outfit features a slightly oversized denim jacket paired with a skull-printed top, black leggings and black, chunky platform boots. The denim jacket, with its rugged material, together with the chunky platforms, lends the ensemble a ‘90s grunge vibe. Wearing black skinny jeans or leggings with black shoes such as boots or platforms will give you legs for days which is perfect because you can choose to wear baggy or oversized tops without looking buried under or looking big.

Also, the denim jacket with just the right wash or shade will definitely look chic if matched with colorful or bright pieces. You can choose to wear it with a form-fitting dress that’s just the right length (and one that conforms to the school’s dress code, of course). If you are willing to take a risk with a denim-on-denim number, go for contrasting shades like dark jeans and a lighter top.
