Style principle: Dress so good like you’re gonna meet your worst enemy.
Style history: I got it from my mother; I can say she dresses up really well… Fashion is part of who I am, really. Back home in Saudi, people dressing good is just a normal thing. There are a lot of fashion-forward people there.
Caught the fashion bug at age: 14
Favorite style item/s: The classic ones
Style icon: The Elegant
Most memorable fashion experience: Back home when I was younger, when my friends go out shopping, they would to call me and ask me about my take on certain items. I would give them my standpoints about the pieces. In what could have been my biggest fashion moment, three months ago I had an offer to work for a runway in Manila but I turned it down because of other priorities.

STYLE TIP FOR THE WEEK

It is almost impossible not to spot a scarf or two in someone’s closet, especially here in the City where the temperature is generally chill. Although the summer season is here and it’s a bit warmer, you can absolutely work the classic wardrobe staple.

When it comes to wearing a scarf, it is obligatory to get creative. And so on that note, scarves are most definitely not just for the cold weather anymore.

This week’s outfit showcases a blend of classic and modern pieces we all love. A cardigan – thrown over a crisp white button-up – was matched with a pair of hip jeans and sneakers. The scarf, with some interesting print and strategically placed at the pocket, gave the whole look so much character.

Draping a scarf around your neck this time of the year may be some sort of uncomfortable (and less stylish!) but who says you can’t wear one? Incorporating a light-fabric printed scarf in your outfit will add a vibrant pop to the look. Try styling the scarf in a bowed, gathered, braided, bandit, or French knot pattern and your outfit will go a long way because, certainly, a scarf will always provide a simple yet chic finish to an ensemble.

As with the classic cardigan, it’s always nice to have one as you can always grab it when the temperature drops in the late afternoon. And it never goes out of style!
