Student Assistant's Policies

1. Individual Attendance :.

The following are the penalties (asterisk) for being late and absent for duty:

a. Late for 30 minutes – one asterisk (*)
b. Late for 45 minutes – two asterisks (**)
c. Late for 1 hour – three asterisks (***)
d. Late for more than 1 hour is considered absent – six asterisks (******)
e. Thirty minutes early leaving – one asterisk (*)
f. Forty – five minutes early leaving – two asterisks (**)
g. One hour early leaving – three asterisks (***)

2. Cleanliness of Laboratory Room :.

For every accumulated 60 asterisks in terms of cleanliness, a corresponding asterisk is added to the individual record of the student assistant.

3. Other Violations :.

a. Minor Violations – corresponds to five asterisks (*****)

--i.Making use of the laboratory room as a hang-out.  Take note there should only be one student assistant that is on duty except from 11:00 A.M. – 12:00 NN and 3:00P.M. – 4:00P.M.
--ii.Logging in/out of students who are on overtime.  Take note that the overtime should be permitted by the instructor.  For internet enabled laboratories, the logging in/out students is a must.
--iii.Labeling workstations as not/non-working.

b. Intermediate Violations – corresponds to 20 asterisks.

--i.Playing of music inside the laboratory.
--ii.Watching of television or movies using the pc.
--iii.Changing IP settings and other settings on workstations.
--iiii.Failing grades on the current semester.
--iiiii.Escaping from cleaning the laboratory.
--iiiiii.Lost items or equipment.

c. Major Violations– corresponds to 40 asterisks.

--i.Failing grades on previous semester with failing grade on the current semester.
--ii.Having a broken schedule for non-graduating student assistants.
--iii.Pregnancy for female student assistants.

4.  Sanctions :.

At the end of the term, all asterisks will be accumulated and evaluated.  The following will be the sanctions for the accumulated asterisks.
