The closing ceremonies for the basic and advanced Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) courses for the school year 2018-2019 were held last May 11 at the University of Baguio (UB) RCB Dome.
Students from the UB School of Criminal Justice and Public Safety who have completed the courses were handed certificate of completion with corresponding Reserve Force enlistment orders issued by the 14th Regional Community Defense Group.
The graduates shall form part of the Citizen Armed Force, as provided for in Republic Act 7077 or the Citizen Armed Forces of the Philippines Reservist Act, subject to the requirements of the Department of National Defense.
The implementation of the ROTC program is in compliance with the requirements of Republic Act 9163 or the National Service Training Program (NSTP) Act.
The activity was organized by the UB NSTP office in coordination with the Army Reserve Command.
