PERAA members recognized during the awarding rites in Davao City.
Four employees of the University of Baguio (UB) were recognized as outstanding members of the Private Education Retirement Annuity Association (PERAA).
In an awarding ceremony held at the Marco Polo Hotel in Davao City last July 26, Dr. Rhoda Tique was presented the first place award under the teaching category (Level B). Meanwhile, Dr. Kareen Leon received the third place award in the teaching category (Level A).
On the other hand, in the administrative category (Level A), John Nigel Millare was bestowed the third place award while Dr. Jerico Villareal was handed the third place award in the administrative category (Level B).
The annual Search for the Outstanding PERAA Members honors the “hardworking teachers and employees in private education,” those who possess an “exemplary drive to excel and serve and lead their country and community – people who are committed to serving.” This year, UB secured awards in all four categories.
Dr. Tique serves as a faculty member at the School of Teacher Education and Liberal Arts while Dr. Leon is the dean of the School of Business Administration and Accountancy. Millare heads the Library Department while Dr. Villareal serves at the University Dental Clinic.
The selection criteria covered the nominees’ work performance, community involvement and educational attainment among others.
