Children of Barangay Lucnab, UB's adopted barangay, were treated to a day's fun during the Yuletide Bliss at the UB Gym.
A children’s outreach highlighted this year’s celebration of the Yuletide Bliss at the UB Gym last Nov. 15 – 16.
Each school was assigned three children – who were from Brgy. Lucnab, UB’s adopted barangay – to adopt for the day’s activities. The children were treated to the different game booths and were presented with Christmas presents, school supplies and food, including gifts for their guardians.
Show choir and Christmas cast (hip-hop dance) competitions were held simultaneously during the outreach.
This year’s Yuletide Bliss featured the famous works of author Theodor Seuss Geisel (1904-1991), popularly known as Dr. Seuss. Some of his stories were portrayed and brought to life, giving off a very Merry Dr. Seuss Christmas vibe at the gym. Dr. Seuss is best known for his work writing and illustrating more than 60 children's books. His work has sold over 600 million copies and has been translated into more than 20 languages.
Yuletide Bliss is a yearly University activity aimed at kicking off the Holiday season and spreading the Christmas spirit in the campus. Booths are installed at the gym which host games and fun activities for the students. –Kali Yantrel Martin
