SON holds health, wellness activity

Students of the UB School of Nursing warm it up for the zumba.

The University of Baguio (UB) School of Nursing (SON) held its first-ever health and wellness program dubbed “Indak-Sayaw” at the UB Gym last March 25.

The program, aimed at promoting wellness and healthy living, started with a zumba, which included warm-up, moderate, intensive, and cooling down routines. Each year level presented a particular exercise.

A discussion on the basic concepts of an active and healthy lifestyle followed, with the faculty members reminding the students of the importance of staying healthy and sharing tips on how to achieve an optimum level of functioning in life.

The event was concluded with an awarding ceremony, where SON students who excelled in academics and extra-curricular activities were recognized.  – Rhauzen Jean Hizon
