The University of Baguio (UB) has participated in this year’s conduct of the Brigada Eskwela, a program of the Department of Education (DepEd) which campaigns for the “united efforts of education stakeholders and communities in ensuring that learners will have a school environment conducive to learning come the opening of classes.”

UB personnel from the Extension and Community Outreach Services Office, General Services Department, Campus Planning and Development Office, Procurement Office, and Library Department volunteered to extend needed services for Lindawan National High School in Barangay Lucnab, Baguio City, such as painting of the school building, weeding, and installation and repairing of electrical wirings.

UB has been participating in the annual activity, which is conducted days before the opening of classes in public schools. Specifically, UB has been extending help to Lindawan National High School, which is one of its adopted schools.

This year’s Brigada has the theme “Pagkakaisa para sa Handa, Ligtas at Matatag na Paaralan tungo sa Magandang Kinabukasan.”
