UB hauled 26 gold medals, 21 silver medals, and 18 bronze medals at the games, propelling the Baguio delegation to finish as over-all champion. In total, Baguio City collected 61 gold medals, 45 silver medals, and 70 bronze medals.
Cebu City came in second with 36 gold medals, 34 silver medals, and 35 bronze medals. Meanwhile, Davao City settled at the third place with 31 gold medals, 30 silver medals, and 41 bronze medals.
This year’s Batang Pinoy saw the Baguio team secure the championship title for the third time. For several years now, UB athletes have been consistently part of the Baguio delegation.
Over 240 provinces and cities participated in this year’s Batang Pinoy, which is the national youth sports competition for athletes under 15 years old.
