Accountancy students from the University of Baguio (UB) secured top awards during the inter-school accounting quiz bowl and hip-hop dance competition held at the UB RCB Dome last Nov. 15.
Franklin Jan Wayang and Jefferson Locloc from the UB School of Business Administration and Accountancy placed first in the accounting quiz bee which covered board examination subjects such as management advisory services, practical accounting, taxation and business law, and auditing theory and problems. The University of the Cordilleras and Saint Louis University landed second and third, respectively.
Meanwhile, Wayang, Greg Ashley Inocencio and Claudine Nicole Valenzuela clinched the third spot in the hip-hop competition.
The winners received certificates, accounting books and cash prize.
The activity was jointly organized by the Baguio-Benguet Chapter of the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Cordillera Chapter of the Government Association of Certified Public Accountants. – Angela Cauilan
