UB is champion in nat’l hospitality, tourism skills confab

Besting 11 universities and colleges, the University of Baguio (UB) was declared overall champion in the recently concluded Council of Hotel and Restaurant Educators of the Philippines (COHREP) National Skills Competition. 

 

UB bagged the championship trophies in all three clusters of the competition – tourism, hospitality and culinary – a first in the history of the competition. UB was also handed the Presidential Award, given to the competing school with the highest total number of points.

 

UB hauled a total of six gold medals, two silver medals, and two bronze medals.

 

UB remains undefeated in the “Battle of the Brains” quiz bee as it once again finished as champion in the said category.

 

The annual COHREP National Skills Competition is a lineup of skills competitions for hospitality, culinary and tourism students in the country.
