UB studes qualify in reg’l business competition

Three groups from the University of Baguio (UB) have made it to the BPI Sinag U Luzon-NCR Regional Bootcamp which was held in Ateneo de Manila University on Oct. 3-5.


The event is an annual competition where the participants draft a business proposal after undergoing a series of lectures.


The three teams, with their respective business proposals, are the following:


·  School of Business Administration and Accountancy (MODEKO)

Analiza Tamod-oc

Cristhyl Joyce Valderama


·  School of International Hospitality and Tourism Management (Pinikpikan 100 Restaurant)

Judy Angelica Atiwon

Karl Glenn Santiago


·  School of Information Technology (Farm Direct)

Nellbrick Ramos

Ryan Motal


As of press time, results of the competition are not yet released. Winners will participate in the National Bootcamp which will be held in November.


Some universities that joined the competition include Ateneo de Manila University, De La Salle University, and De La Salle - College of Saint Benilde, among others.


An in-school competition was held last Aug. 23 at the Centennial Hall, where six teams participated – three from SBAA, two from SIT, and one from SIHTM.


Dr. Ruby Buccat was appointed as the BPI Sinag U in-school coordinator for UB.
