UB Rotaract members organize clean-up drive

The members of the Rotaract Club of Metro Baguio after the clean-up

The University of Baguio Chapter of the Rotaract Club of Metro Baguio organized a clean-up activity at Burnham Park for two consecutive Sundays last April.

The group went around Rose Garden, Melvin Jones, the biking area, and the skating rink area.

The activity was in cooperation with the Outstanding Students of the Cordillera Administrative Region group and the City of Baguio.

The activity supports Rotary International’s slogan, “Service above Self.” Rotary International is an international service organization formed in 1905 whose general purpose is to "provide humanitarian services, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations and advance goodwill and peace around the world." It is a secular organization open to all people regardless of race, color, creed, religion, gender or political preference. There are 34,282 member clubs worldwide and 1.2 million individuals, called Rotarians, have joined these clubs.  – Mark Anthony Alvar and Edwin Balot Jr.
