The University of Baguio (UB) was hailed champion in logic design and quiz bowl categories during the Institute of Computer Engineers of the Philippines (ICpEP) – CAR Student Challenge held in the city last Oct. 19.
UB’s Edwin Binay-an and Patrick Leybag ruled the logic design event, finishing as champions.
Likewise, Leybag, Cynah Mari Hidalgo, and Ijay Mangili dominated the quiz bowl event, landing as champions.
Meanwhile, the following also participated in the competition: Carlo Marue Dizon and Ijay Mangili (programming); Eldrin David Asuncion, Christian Carido, and Vincent Jerald Mendoza (robotics-sumobot following); and Ian Benedick Dapia, Cynah Mari Hidalgo, and Brainard Matusalin (robotics-line following).
The UB team – coached by Engr. Meynard Soriano – was composed of students from the UB School of Information Technology.
The competition was attended by students from different schools offering BS Computer Engineering across the region.
