Lysle Baday, a senior Information Technology (IT) student of the University of Baguio (UB), finished third with the highest score nationwide in the IT Passport Certification Examination held last Oct. 28.
The certification corresponds to the first level of the skill framework which covers the five human resource models – strategist, systems architect, service manager, project manager, and technical specialist. It is the first of the three levels included in the PhilNITS exam.
The examination included the fundamental concepts in IT such as computer systems and networks and development and operations of information systems.
The examination was administered by the Philippine National IT Standards (PhilNITS) Foundation, a member of the Japan-based Information Technology Professional Examination Council. The Council, headquartered in Japan, is an organization that conducts IT examinations across Asian countries.
