UB studes secure major titles in computer engineering competition

Computer engineering students from the University of Baguio School of Information Technology secured the first runner-up titles in the quiz bowl, logic design, and programming competitions during the Institute of Computer Engineers of the Philippines (ICpEP) Regional Challenge held at the University of the Cordilleras last Oct. 4.



Ian Benedick Dapia, Patrick Leybag, Ijay Mangili, Jefferson Marquez, Khmer Mortal, and Aldrix Aaron Taclan formed the team which represented UB in the event.



Engr. Meynard Soriano served as the team’s coach during the competition.



The event aimed to enhance the technical skills and competencies of the participants while promoting the spirit of sportsmanship among them.

Khmer Motal, Patrick Leybag, and Ijay Mangili also finished as first runner-up in the quiz bowl. 




Moreover, Patrick Leybag and Ian Benedict Dapia won the first runner-up title in the logic design event.
