UB studes win awards in accounting convention

Students from the University of Baguio (UB) secured awards during the regional mid-year convention of the National Federation of Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants Region 1 and Cordilleras Council.


UB’s Thaddeau Sungduan finished as champion in essay writing, ranked third in slogan making and placed 10th in the Search for Basic Accounting Wizard.


In addition, Angela Cauilan landed fourth in the Management Advisory Services Quiz Bee. She also participated as a finalist in the Auditing Theory and Problems.


Moreover, Franco Dean Caoili and Kevin Chester Orduña placed third in the Regional Accounting and Finance Quiz Bee. Orduña also competed as a finalist in the Regulatory Framework and Business Transactions.


Meanwhile, Rachel Lomibao secured the fifth spot in Meet the Standards. In addition, Joyce de Leon landed as one of the finalists in the Advanced Financial Accounting and Reporting.


Furthermore, Lendl Ian Zambrano was crowned Mr. Ambassador of Goodwill 2018 First Runner-Up. He also garnered the Mr. Congeniality award.


The winners received scholarship vouchers, medals and certificates.


The convention was held in the city last Oct. 1-3. – Czara Jamille Riolada and Glydel Ann Daniel
