Fifty teaching and non-teaching staff of the University of Baguio (UB) participated in the weeding activity in UB’s adopted portion within the Busol watershed in Pacdal last Sept. 14, from 8 AM to 12:00 PM.

Spearheaded by the Extension and Community Outreach Services office through its UB CARES program (Community Advancement through Responsive Extension Services), the activity is part of the series of UB’s environmental outreach activities in Busol watershed, which the University has adopted as one of its priority areas under its environmental conservation plan.

UB’s vice president for academic affairs Dr. Janice Kaylyn Lonogan also participated in the activity, which was held in partnership with the Baguio Water District.

The Busol watershed is a major recharge area of the water sources for Baguio, La Trinidad and its surrounding municipalities.
