The University of Baguio team at the NFJPIA-Region 1 and CAR Accounting Convention
Accountancy students from the University of Baguio (UB) snared awards at the 10th Annual Regional Convention organized by the National Federation of Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants – Region 1 and Cordillera Administrative Region.
UB’s Geralda Angluben and Shrii Laksmi Cercado secured the third and fifth spots, respectively, in the Regulatory Framework for Business Transactions quiz bee. Meanwhile, Ryan Angelo De Guzman landed fourth in the taxation quiz bee.
In addition, UB finished as the over-all champion in the non-academic category. UB also clinched the first spot in both the palarong Pinoy and in the body painting competition.
Moreover, Lendl Ian Zambrano finished as first runner-up in the Mr. & Ms. Local Chapter while Cercado was awarded second runner-up in the same event.
Held in Lingayen, Pangasinan last April 8-10, the annual convention included competitions that cover CPA examination subjects as well as non-academic activities. The event was participated in by schools from Region 1 and CAR.
