Arjill found a bag of cash amounting to ₱812, 000 and decided to return it.
“I just received this Certificate of Commendation from UB for returning the money. I could have taken it – it's the most convenient option. I don't know, but it never came to me to do so. When I saw the piles of cash, I knew I had to return it.”
“My Mom raised me and my sister singlehandedly. She would always tell us that if you have the chance to help others, do so. Those words stuck with me pretty well. When I found the bag, I knew returning it was the right thing to do. You see, helping comes in forms. And what I did – I believe it was helping. We all can help in our own little way.”
What is that one thing you have come to terms with which you’ve eventually become comfortable with – in all its reality?
“I grew up not knowing who my father was. I think I got used to it to the point of being okay with it. I guess everyone of us has his own way of coming to terms with things and becoming comfortable, eventually, with their realities.”
