Bachelor of Science in Architecture



The Bachelor of Science in Architecture program ensures mastery of comprehensive architectural knowledge, both in theory and practice, and proficiency of skills of the graduates in accordance with the scope of the practice of architecture. The program directs and focuses the thrust of architecture education to the needs and demands of society and its integration into the social, economic, cultural, and environmental aspects of nation-building.



Within five years after graduation, graduates of the architecture program have:

  1. portrayed a high sense of intellectual capability to enhance the quality of life;
  2. displayed mastery of comprehensive architectural knowledge and proficiency of skills;
  3. upheld a sense of dignity and professionalism;
  4. undertaken research studies in the various fields of specializations;
  5. engendered the importance of preserving, conserving, and promoting the nation’s heritage and culture; and
  6. exuded effective expression of ideas through creative and authentic architectural designs.



By the time of graduation, students of the program shall be able to:

a.    apply knowledge of mathematics and science to solve architecture problems

b.    design and conduct experiments as well as analyze and interpret data

c.    design a system, component, or process to meet desired needs within realistic constraints such as economic, environmental, social, political, ethical, health and safety, manufacturability, and sustainability in accordance with standards

d.    function on multidisciplinary teams

e.    identify, formulate, and solve architecture problems

f.     understand professional and ethical responsibility

g.    communicate effectively

h.    acquire the broad education necessary to understand the impact of architecture solutions in a global, economic, environmental, and societal context

i.     recognize the need for an ability to engage in life-long learning

j.     know contemporary issues

k.    use techniques, skills, and modern engineering tools necessary for architecture practice

l.     know and understand architecture and management principles as members and leaders in a team to manage projects in multidisciplinary environments
