Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering



The Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering program aims to:

a.    provide the student with an education in the fundamentals of electronics engineering that will allow him to be immediately competitive in the industry or in graduate work while providing him with the best opportunity for achieving his full potential during his lifetime;

b.    develop in the student a sense of professional responsibility and social awareness; and

c.    provide practical applications evidenced by laboratory, design, project study, computer exercise and practicum courses.

These would help the student to work well whether independently or as part of a group.


Within five years after graduation, graduates of the Electronics Engineering program have:

1.    innovated designs subject to laws and policies of electronics engineering;

2.    manifested competence in electronics engineering industry or in graduate work;

3.    imbibed a sense of professional responsibility;

4.    used practical applications in related researches of electronics engineering;

5.    developed social awareness for the protection of the environment; and

6.    practiced notable performance in the exercise of the profession.


By the time of graduation, students of the program shall be able to:

a.    apply knowledge of mathematics and science to solve engineering problems

b.    design and conduct experiments as well as analyze and interpret data

c.    design a system, component, or process to meet desired needs within realistic constraints such as economic, environmental, social, political, ethical, health and safety, manufacturability, and sustainability in accordance with standards

d.    function on multidisciplinary teams

e.    identify, formulate, and solve engineering problems

f.     understand professional and ethical responsibility

g.    communicate effectively

h.    acquire the broad education necessary to understand the impact of engineering solutions in a global, economic, environmental, and societal context

i.     recognize  the need for an ability to engage in life-long learning

j.     know contemporary issues

k.    use techniques, skills, and modern engineering tools necessary for engineering practice

l.     know and understand engineering and management principles as members and leaders in a team to manage projects in multidisciplinary environments
