School of Information Technology

Trained by a cluster of experienced scholars and mentors, students at the UB School of Information Technology acquire knowledge with the latest innovations and technology. Students get to experience the real workplace atmosphere with extensive exposures through on-the-job trainings in some of the country’s biggest IT firms such as CISCO Networking Academy, Texas Instruments, Pointwest Technologies, and Cloudstaff, Inc.  among others.

The UB-VMO mandates the direction of the SIT mission and objectives in collaboration with different stakeholders for the attainment of Program Educational Objectives (PEOs). The PEOs are used for the development of the Program Outcomes (POs). The POs guide the desired course learning objectives and student outcomes through the implementation of outcomes-based teaching and learning (OBTL). PEOs, POs, CLOs, SOs, and OBTL undergoes assessment and evaluation for the improvement of the programs.


The School of Information Technology is committed to create a dynamic learning environment conducive to the development of globally competitive IT professionals. 



The School of Information Technology aims to produce a graduate who:

  1. applies and innovates methodologies in developing and managing computing solutions;
  2. adapts to the fast-changing technologies in diverse environments;
  3. exemplifies desirable behavior and attributes;
  4. conducts relevant researches for the innovation of Information Technology products and services;
  5. initiates and participates in community-based activities that contribute to sustainable development; and
  6. utilizes leadership qualities for commendable performance in the field of endeavor.


  • UB is the only Pearson VUE test center in Northern Luzon, providing on-site tests for Adobe, Avaya Inc., Cisco Systems, CompTIA, Linux Professional Institute, Novell, Oracle, PostgreSQL CE (SRA OSS), Red Hat, SAP, SPSS and others
  • UB School of Information Technology was awarded as the Model CISCO Networking Local Academy in the Philippines
  • UB School of Information Technology produces passers in Cisco Certified Entry Level (CCENT), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Philippine National IT Standards Fundamental Information Technology Engineers (PhilNITS FE) Examination, Adobe Certifications and TESDA Computer Systems Servicing NC II
