Personal entrepreneurial competencies of University of Baguio Accountancy students

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to assess the personal entrepreneurial competencies of the University of Baguio Accountancy students. The study was conducted at the University of Baguio School of Business Administration and Accountancy during the school year 2016- 2017. All fourth-year students who enrolled the MANADS3 subject in the first semester of 2016- 2017 were included in the study. The study made use of the quantitative design. Survey questionnaire was the data gathering tool. The overall area mean knowledge of the Accountancy students is average, whether the population is grouped according to both having a family business only or with personal business only. The students without family business or personal business have an average level of knowledge with regards to entrepreneurship. The overall personal entrepreneurial competencies of the University of Baguio Accountancy students show that they are competent when it comes to persistence, demand for quality and efficiency and opportunity seeking under the achievement cluster. They got the highest score inĀ  persuasion and networking in the power cluster.
