(A LEADERSHIP TRAINING-SEMINAR FOR ScIENCE HIGH SCHOOL LEADERS)
july 18-19, 2019 | ub – Centennial hall
It is deemed that all individuals have leadership potential and that their particular gifts, talents, and skills can be enhanced through education, training, and development. Furthermore, it is considered that leadership is a process that should be developed; therefore, the broad goal of the leadership program is to promote a culture of engaged and ethical leadership amongst leaders.
The National Association of Campus Activities competency model is used to aid in the promotion of engaged and ethical leadership, these competencies are adopted for students as they participate in programs and serve as student leaders. It is supposed that these competencies provide an outline for the felt needs of the incoming leaders, and also provide an outline for the goals of the training-seminar. The training-seminar will encourage students to identify ways they can practice leadership on campus.
